from a world conference in 1997 in Vancouver, Canada, TEENET is an
expanding global network of persons engaged in contextual,
community-based, and open theological education helping the indigenous
Church through formats such as Distance Education, Theological
Education by Extension, and Diversified Learning.
Gary Kush, the former TEENET
website Director, has written a provocative article proposing an
alternative model for ministry. For years,
Gary worked in Diversified Theological Education, including Theological
Education by Extension (TEE), in North America and abroad. During a
fifteen year period, he managed a TEE program that enrolled about six
hundred students each year in about forty extension sites in North
America and the Marshall Islands. Leadership training was the focus.
You can find a full bio at the end of his article.
